ISSUES

I believe we need new fresh ideas to be brought to the table.  We need different ways of tackling the issues rather than the old ways that we see every year.  We need different change.

Minimum Wage

The Minimum wage is one of the biggest Anti-Employment laws on the books.

As wages rise, the amount of jobs decrease and the total output of money is reduce in the market place.

We should not look at the good intentions of the minimum wage. We should look at the actual effects.

An employer and employee shall have the freedom to contract their own wages that they come into agreement with.

We see the historical effects of the minimum wage. In the 1960's as the unions pushed for a higher minimum wag. As wages went up in the 60's, so did unemployment.  It shows the effects have the opposite effect than what they were intended for,

The effects of the minimum wage is to prevent  less skilled workers from getting jobs in the first place. This effects minorities and younger people those most who have less skill in the work force.

I would  to call for an end to New York's  Minimum wage law.

I would never vote to raise minimum wages in New York.

Minimum Wage

The Drug War has been a failure since the state. The drug war has created a black market for drugs,

I have never done drugs and have been an advocate against the usage of drugs.

I want to reduce the usage of drugs in our society,

Though I may disagree with the usage of drugs, I can not force my values on others by using the forceful hand of Government.

I think we have been tackling this issue the wrong way. We must stop looking at drug usage as a crime and treat it as a health issue and a personal habit that Individuals have.

First we have to understand that drugs are a personal choice and people should be aloud to consume or smoke drugs as long as they are not hurting anyone in the process. This is the moral argument.

Second, we see that the Drug War has been a failure for the past 50 years. Creating mass Incarceration, breaking up families and causing death to innocent people while strengthening the drug dealer.

The proponents of drug laws have be the best defenders of the drug dealer. By having these laws, they have created a black market in our streets.  Allowing for easy access for children.

I believe that legalizing drugs will reduce crime, and allows the police to focus on more serious issues.  It will get rid of the drug dealers on the streets. We have to understand that drugs will be more regulated and less tampered with if they are in the stores and not in the street thus making drug usage less dangerous. The black market makes it easier for anyone to get their hands on drugs.

Now this may seem extreme to some but look at the effects of what the laws are doing today.

The first thing I would do is call to repeal the Flavored vape ban and legalize recreational marijuana as a stepping stone.

Balance of Power

image2107

I want to bring back the balance between police and Liberty.

We have to remember that the police are part of the executive branch.  I believe there is a role for police in a Free Society and that role is to prevent one person from hurting another and nothing else. They are not there to enforce laws regarding personal choice or safety.

I want to end unnecessary interactions between the citizens and police by ending certain laws. For example seat belt laws and drug laws.  I believe this is the most important part of police reform.

I do not want to defund the police.

I do want more transparency with our police departments so we know when police officers do something wrong.

I want to End qualified immunity.

These will help solve the unrest we are seeing today between police and the Individuals.

Balance of Power

Balance of Power

Balance of Power

For too long the State Legislature has given the Governor the Executive power which is abused constantly while the Legislature looks the other way. Why do they do this?  They do not want to responsibility for their mistakes.

We have Legislature for a reason. So they can debate and vote on the issues.

We need to restore the balance of power and empower checks and balances in our State Government.

Taxes

Balance of Power

Education

I believe Taxation is a form of theft.
I will never vote to raise a tax.
I will call for the repeal

I believe Taxation is a form of theft.

I will never vote to raise a tax.

I will call for the repeal of the State Income tax.

Government spending has to be reduced consistently while we cut taxes. We have to understand that the more taxes Government takes from the people, the more willing they are to spend that money.

Taking the money away from Government prevents government from spending to the point that we are in debt.

Individuals have their financial problems and should keep the money that they earn and spend it how they see fit for their own lives.

Education

Balance of Power

Education

I believe we need to fully revamp the education system.

First we have to realize that Higher Education is not the only way to success.  We have a 66-70% dropout rate within the first 2 year of college. Most people are not ready or don't want go to college but are forced becuase they are told its the only way to success. They are given "free college" by government which incentives people who are not ready for college, to go anyway.

Knowing that, we should first end 11th and 12th grade and let kids graduate at 10th.

Teens who are leaving High school should be given options after. They should be able to get a job if they want to work, go to college if they think they are ready, get into a trade, there are a few other options. This allows young teens to make mistakes early so they are not making mistakes at a later stage in their lives. This allows young people to prepare for their future.

We should advocate for more Free choice and competition in the education market. Allow for school vouchers.

School vouchers allow for more free choice, reduces taxes and creates better schools. Giving more power to the parents.

Every child cost about 22 thousand dollars in New York State.

We can create a School Voucher system, giving 20 thousand dollars to every parent for each kid. The parent can then spend that money on whatever school they believe is best for their child.

You will see new schools pop up. Charter schools, private and still have the option for public schools. What we will see, is the old schools be replaced with newer and better schools.

What will the cost be for these new schools? They will be the 20 thousand dollars.  This gives a equal chance for any child to get a better education regardless of your background.

Second Amendment Rights

Second Amendment Rights

Second Amendment Rights

I believe in your 2nd Amendment right.

New York has violated that right with Red Flag laws and the Safe Act.

I would call to repeal both.

After the safe act was passed in 2012, gun violence has barely changed, The statistics show that gun violence has been staggering steadily and have even been at higher points than previous years of its implementation. This show that the law is not working. All this does is make innocent law biding citizens criminals over night.

One of the major problems with Red flags laws is the fact that it violates your right of due process.

This law also  discourages people who have metal health problems to get help because they are afraid that their weapons will be taken away when there is no sign of that person being violent.  Our veterans who suffer PSD are effected in this way.

Business Regulations

Second Amendment Rights

Second Amendment Rights

We are over regulated in New York State. Restricting businesses from flourishing especially small businesses. Big corporations can handle regulations as small businesses have trouble.

Now that we are in a pandemic with Covid-19, these regulations are hurting our small businesses even more. If we lifted unnecessary regulations, businesses will have a better chance of surviving the Economic damages from Covid-19 and will allow small businesses to flourish.

Abortion

Second Amendment Rights

Election Reform

image2112

I believe you have to be both pro-life and pro-choice regarding Abortion.

I do believe that abortion is murder.

All states deal with murder separately and it is not a federal Government function. So the first step is getting the Federal Government out of the abortion argument.  Abortion should be left up to the states.

I also believe that abortion should not be Government funded. It is immoral to force people to pay for abortion for others when they are against such an act.  Government shouldn't be taking your money and giving it to someone else for their own purposes. I would call to defund planned parenthood and not allow tax payer money to fund them.

Though I believe abortion is murder, I would want to legalize abortion.

The reasons I believe it should be legal is because I don't believe slapping a law will solve the core problem. The Core problem is unwanted pregnancies. Regardless of law, people will go to other states and have it done or they may do it themselves which can cause harm.

The main goal should be to reduce the amount of abortions we possibly can.

Abortion is so imbedded in our society that it is a norm to a lot of people. The abortion debate is split and there will always be an argument over abortion. Abortion is inevitable. Thats why I believe the best way of handling it is to reduce the amount of abortions by better educating our young who will engage in sexual activity, Allow for pregnancy prevention products to be sold over the counter and made available to everyone and all ages.

We have to change the culture.

Election Reform

Election Reform

Election Reform

image2113

I would like to see the election to be fair for all parties and for all voters to be represented. This year 2020, the Governor of New York has made it harder for third parties to compete with the two major parties. They have raised the amount of votes needed for ballot access from 50,000 votes to 130,000 votes for third parties. Obviously this is what both of the major parties want,  They want to keep fresh ideas out, they don't want competition or fair elections. They try to silence the voices of millions who vote for third parties. We need everyone one regardless of party to be able to equally let their voices be heard.

I would advocate for a Rank Choice Voting system which gives a chance for every voice to be heard. Allowing you to pick the candidate you want to win, while also choosing you're second choice if the first choice does not win.
